2018 has been a very exciting year for the Mulberry Bush with the opening of our state of the art new nursery in Bitterne Park. We opened the doors officially in early Summer 2018 providing the area with a spectacular landmark building and an exceptional standard of full day care for children aged 3 months – 5 years throughout the year (51 weeks).
The nursery offers a beautiful and rich environment for children. With spacious rooms full of natural light, bespoke sensory rooms for each age group and a stunning 500m2 garden. Please see the Our Spaces page for more information.
Joanna joined the Mulberry Bush Bitterne Park as Deputy Room Leader of the baby unit and has recently been promoted to Room Leader for this age group.

The Elderberries (Preschool) at our Bitterne Park nursery had an amazing day yesterday visiting the Build a Bear workshop to make their own Mulberry Bush Bunny whom they have named Berry! Berry will be accompanying children home at different times, sometimes when they have a particularly exciting event or just to keep them company over night or at the weekend.

The Mulberry Bush graduation and Summer BBQ 2018 was a huge success.
Thank you so much to our amazing parents, children, friends and especially our staff for making it possible. We are very proud of our children heading off to school in September we know you’ll love it!
What’s the best way to spend a baking hot day? By making boats of course! Locks Heath Elderberries used items from Reece the Recycling monster to create different boats to float down the ‘stream’. Perhaps you could try something similar at home to sail if you’re planning a trip to the seaside or even to a lake/pond?
Well we have to find a way to cool down! The Elderberries have enjoyed some brilliant water fights this week! Fantastic fun and everyone is dry again in minutes.
